Then you really are very stupid aren't you Karl.

Click the NM icon and select your Wireless network, type password when
prompted. If network isn't shown because you don't broadcast SSID then
select "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network". It's really a damn site easier
than Wicd in that respect and doesn't require any additional packages to be
installed.
