OT: "proprietary" software

Whatever you do is obviously entirely your choice.
It simply strikes me as *very* odd that on the one hand you dump
Thunderbird because it is proprietary software (which it isn't) while on
the other hand you seem to have no problem to use proprietary software
(that really *is* proprietary) to send such a statement.
Hint: There is a Thunderbird version for Windows. You could use it to
figure out at least one app which exists on the new OS - even while
still on windows.
