Scribus

    I have been working with Scribus and it has no application to modify 
a pdf file. It can't load a pdf file and it will not load even a pdf 
file made by Scribus. There needs to be a note sent to the developers of 
Scribus to either make import of pdf files possible or change the import 
to exclude pdf files.

    The application pdf2ps has flaws as well. The biggest is it converts 
all pictures to tiff files not part of the .ps file.

    You can make a pdf file with Scribus but it's easier to use OO.
