Good Day,
I am completely confused. I ordered a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V6545 with that
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 card in it. I tried to prepare myself for the installation of Ubuntu 9.04 (32 bit version) and I read a lot. I asked ATI/AMD about that card and below is their answer. As a beginner in Ubuntu, I ask for your help, because I didn't understand from their answer, will it work or not? My card doesn't appear in the release notes.
So, question: do you have experience with that particular card? Is that catalyst 9.5 driver working fully with that card?
Thanks
Emil
Dear Customer,
Your service request : SR #{ticketno:[8200205258]} has been reviewed and updated.
Response and Service Request History:
From the link below select your OS, then Radeon then HD3xxx series
and click Go to get to the correct Linux drivers Version 9.5.
Selecting Mobility seems to get you to the wrong spot and I have
alerted the web team.
The release notes do not specifically mention your Mobility 3450
chipset but these drivers should install, they are the only Linux
drivers available.
Catalyst 9.6 drivers may speicifically list your mobility chipset.
Fujitsu-Siemens may also be able to direct you to a suitable diriver.
Although
we have driver for Linux posted on the ATI website, we do not
