Restarting X on Jaunty

I know that the developers disabled ctrl-alt-backspace by default ... and I've
reenabled it. Unfortunately, with the new version, that allows me to kill X,
but I can't figure out how to restart it. In the older versions, ctrl-alt-
backspace killed *AND* restarted it.

Assume for a moment I'm not logged in and I use ctrl-alt-backspace to kill X.
What do I do to restart it? Keying in startx doesn't do anything.

Thanks in advance.
