ubuntu 7.10 repository

I think the "Software Sources" GUI in 7.10 (System->Admin) already
had the "server finder" feature, with this "Select Best Server" button.
Just run it.. if there is a server still up, I assume it ought to find
it. Worth a try anyhow ! ;-)
