Whenever I "logout" of my GUI session, I am returned to a virtual
console (i.e., X11 is *gone*). I can run 'startx' to restore the
prior session, but logging out again returns me to a console (I, in
fact, am never really logged out).
Searching archives, I've found others reporting similar problems (but
mainly involving multiple monitors). I could find no real "solution".
The end of "Xorg.0.log" contains this:

Prior to the 9.04 install, the machine was running 8.04 and it worked
better. When I logged out, I saw a "garbled" screen and could restart
X11 using C-A-<backspace>. Even that functionality has now gone away.
Is anyone successfully using Jaunty on a Optiplex 755 with the Radeon board??
Thanks for you comments/suggestions!
