Man, I feel for you. Its never happened to me, but I could only immagine
what that must be like.
I don't think that anti-theft measures are going to matter. Laptops and
computers are handled much like autos. The first thing they are going to
do is either wipe the hard drive, or sell it right away, which that person
will probably wipe the hard drive if he knows the unit is hot. If not,
what you'll be getting are pictures of a poor schmuck that got grifted by
the dude who stole your unit.
I would just lick your wounds and move on.
