Yes Verde, it is for a school project. We want to be able to control how long each student can use the PC so that it can be available for others to be use as well.

Farrell - I was asking if this was for a school project (I had to do a cyber-cafe as a part of a class I took this year). While the topic may be O.T., my guess is that you want to do this on Ubuntu-based systems. Google turned up a lot of possibilities of both open source and COTS (Google:Open Source Internet Cafe Software).
Check out LTSP (Linux Terminal Service Project) for another possibility.
