Quite the opposite, for two machines I own with Intel video.

Because of extreme "flashiness" with compiz and 3D apps (googleearth,
stellarium, etc) Intrepid was unusable on both my desktop and laptop,
which feature Intel video. The video drivers in Jaunty fixed that,
although there were some speed and other issues along the way (I first
started using Jaunty on the laptop back in January or February, then
switched the desktop machine a bit later.)

There are some issues, but they're minor, and there are release notes
for Jaunty that have possible workarounds.
