Indeed, I found it soon after I posted that. (I still have to get used
to sorting the search in Synaptic every time)
But what was interesting was how much of it was already installed by
default. The only things that build-essentials installed were g++ and
the C++ libaries,, (though I have to wonder why C++ libs weren't
installed by default with the libc-devel. oh well)
