That depends.  NFS, Samba, scp, ..., to neame o few.

I assume your network runs at 100 Mb/s.  Then your network will always
be the bottleneck since you cannot get more than abt. 12MB/s out of it.
A file which now needs, say, 30 mins will use at least 20 mins even with
the best transfer method.
