dual audio su ubuntu 8.04

Hello,
my question i think is simple.
I am a news one on ubuntu 8.04 world, the audio works well but when i insert headphone the speaker of my sony vaio laptop vgn nr38s continues emitting music or voices, they works both....speakers and headphones!!!!!



I Have found this line on the internet, but i don't know to how to use it..

    "   options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 model=laptop  "
