Hi Bertilsson,

You could run this just once on your terminal:
sudo passwd root
to set your password of the root user,

then with Pressing Cirl + Alt + F1 to turn to a real terminal and to login
with your root account and password, sudo is now NOT the only one means to
get root priviligies.
