Installation Trouble

Image version: ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso

Date: May 8, 2009

 

Machine: Dell Inspiron 8600

Processor: 1.6 GHZ Pentium

Memory: 1GB 

Partitions: None

 

LiveCD allows me to select language and the startup menu appears.  I
highlight install and hit enter and nothing happens.  The only option that
works is boot from hard drive.  Please advise.  Thank you for the
