I just read some section of this guide.
What I miss is an explicit waring of adding external repositories.

And this sentence upsets me:
"....It’s true that any software packages you manually
download and install might contain viruses, but it’s very unlikely."

Downloading and installing like on Windows. Yes it works but be careful. 
Every software installation can destroy your entire system(!). Every 
software downloaded from and untrusted and unsigned source is dangerous.
