At this moment I am convinced I dislike KDE and will want to make the 
default Gnome again. But this time it is simple and requires no apt-get 
remove or such. I will reboot and when it comes up I will select Gnome 
and KDE will be here if I want to play again. And I can use KDE to show 
how similar Ubuntu and Windows are :-)
