Hi Mark

Looks like Steve gave you enough info to get you going.  Just thought
I'd throw in my two cents.  I've been running nagios at work for a
couple of years now and it was the best decision I've made I think.  A
network monitoring setup lets you be proactive rather than reactive.
Users often are not able to provide the info you need, when you need
it. A good network monitor (there are lots of them) let you fix things
often before they know about it!  If your tech dept doesn't have one,
they need one!  Nagios can be a bit fiddly to set up - don't be afraid
to ask for help if you need it.
