This is why schools should use Open Source software, or just require
printed documents :)
I have been lucky as my college instructors are generally very open to
"alternative" formats, as long as they can open things with something.
Most at least have OpenOffice.org installed on their machines, even in
Windows.
I am forced to keep an XP install in VirtualBox for the odd class here or
there though. I have never been a zealot, so although I don't prefer
Windows, I can deal with using it when required (like... for those games),
Microsoft was also nice enough to give me a couple of free, legal copies
for taking a marketing survey, so I still have yet to pay for an operating
system license in my lifetime. Maybe that's why I'm not yet a zealot? ;)
