nvidia-glx-180 cannot get 1600x1200 resolution

I tried the 96; it's OK.

mihamina at phenom:~$ dpkg -l | grep "^ii. nvidia"
ii  nvidia-96-kernel-source
ii  nvidia-glx-96
ii  nvidia-settings

I also had to remove the xorg.conf file then run nvidia-xconfig.
Running nvidia-xconfig from an existant xorg.conf file did work.
I attach my xorg.conf file, just for archival prupose.
