Keyboard and Mouse Non-responsive

My apologies - you do state that the issue is the with a laptop and
that implies that the connectivity between the components are not via
a USB connection.


With that in mind, are you in a position to plug in an external
keyboard and mouse? Any difference?

Sadly I can't tell you whether it does or not - right now, I'm running
AIX 5.3L and it would be speculation on my behalf where you could find
this log (I'd be surprised if it doesn't however - perhaps someone
else can answer). Hopefully, it's an obvious file-name  in /var/log
which I assume you can read from single user mode. I can tell you
where you should be looking under AIX and MVS, but I doubt that's
going to be of much use!
