Wireless broken after partial upgrade [solved]

Hi, problem sorted. I checked in synaptic as you suggested and there was a package being held back: the 'linux-restricted-modules'. So after tweeking the settings to allow 'Unsupported Updates (Jaunty-Backports)' in the software sources screen in Synaptic, the update manager listed a load more available packages to install. Installed them, now every works great with the new kernel.
