Yes it is possible, some modern day list servers (i run one) can in some 
form or another, however, it is high maintenance, and it wont be long before
you end up with large lists, we run several usenet->email gateways and 
it just doesnt work in reality, we've tried it.

the list server software we use allows easy adding of "spam" keywords, 
and whos to say that spam list just has to be spam :)
