Take a look at
"PDF Split and Merge"
A free open source tool to split and merge pdf documents
http://www.pdfsam.org/
It is not in the repositories but I use it for friends who don't like 
the pdftk cli interface.
It is a Java application.

PortableApps feature a GUI to pdftk
You could try WINE to use this windows application.
