The problem with ignoring such people is that they still scare away
**newcomers**. That's why trolls should be stopped, asap, and the only
way to do is to unsubscribe repeated offenders.
Me, I can assure you that I **completely** ignored the whole "stupid
-whatever- troublemaker" thread which lasted how long, 100+ messages?
I didn't even open the initial message, because combining the subject
with the sender, it was obvious to me, after many months here, what
would have happened.
But imagine the effect on somebody who had subscribed the day before
that thread started, knowing practically nothing of Linux, FOSS,
community, Ubuntu as human beings, etc... Would that thread strengthen
his/her commitment to try FOSS?
