Wireless card issue

not using broadcom here, but ive had problems with atheros on my laptops
before on kernel upgrades.  ive had good luck with enabling backports in
synaptic, then search for backports.  install the backport modules for
the kernel that isnt working.  worth a shot, cant hurt anything.
