printers for UBUNTU?

Personally I would never buy anything from Lexmark, because about 5 
years ago they sold a printer which claimed Linux support but it had a 
driver which only worked with a then already outdated Red Hat version. 
Of course they may have changed their Linux policy, but I won't forget 
having wasted many hours searching for a working driver.
