It's completely different. I've got no time for people who come here
_expecting_ anyone to give them solutions they can't be bothered to try to
work out. But I'll dash off a quick hint. I'll go overboard for anybody
who shows signs of trying to help themselves. otoh, for the university
helpdesk, those are paying students who _do_ have a right to expect help,
and I'm being paid (very little) to do it. Actually it's only two hours a
week, and it's not the money as much as the percs :-)

Living in the middle of nowhere pretty well limits the personal requests :-)
