My instructions provide that information and it works (for me) on both
Ubuntu (Gnome) Intrepid and Hardy. Does that not work for you?

340061 provides no details (including which version of Ubuntu) and is a
duplicate of 155438.

155438 [Compiz - workspace switcher shrinks and workspaces do not work
corectly] involves an Compiz (perhaps) issue of multiple workspace rows
on the panel.
