Gnome language layouts, multiple desktops,

After disabling Compiz then restarting, I have the option to set a
single screen. I suppose that there would be an overriding Compiz
setting for screens, but I do not feel like enabling it to check.

I still cannot get Sticky Keys to work (needed for disability) or
Keyboard Layouts to work (needed because my native language is not
English).
