some schools mandate you use what they tell you to use or you dont go.
my niece spent over 3k (on top of the 30k tuition) on a dell piece of
$%&# that the school told her she had to get with the schools "special
software".  in order to use the schools network you have to be using
what they tell you to use WITH the software they tell you to use AND pay
dearly for it to boot.
