Unfortunately, you posted this to a public list and did not reply nor
quote the original message, so we have no clue what you're talking about.
If you want to type an arbitrary Unicode character given its hex code,
you can do that in all GNOME programs by pressing Ctrl+Shift+u and
typing the code: Ctrl+Shift+u, 263b, Enter = ☻.
