Status of ATI video on Ubuntu

I do a lot of video playback on my laptop with the radeon driver and I
don't see any trouble at all.  From DVD as well as other video codecs.
They all look great and I have no problems with blockiness, etc.

(Personally, I wouldn't touch NVidia cards or drivers ever again.)
