Adobe flash player

Hoping for some help.
 
I am a new user of Kubuntu and I'm very impressed with it.
 
The only issue I have is that when I try to watch videos on the BBC website
it reports that I have the wrong version of adobe flash player installed.
 
I have downloaded the various options and none seem to work.
 
I'm sure I haven't installed it correctly but don't know how to.
 
Some simple instructions would be useful.
 
I am using: KUBUNTU-8.10-desktop-i386.iso
