Can't upload phots to facebook w/8.04.2x86_64

I have poked around and I am not the only one with this prolem.  It 
stems from a problem with open-java.  I need to be running sun java 
proper.  I don't think that the aplet for 64 bit is aviable.  In short 
can someone who is running 8.04x64 explain what I have to do to be able 
to run sun's java implementation for firefox 3.0.6?
