problems about update svn to 1.6.1

Is the trailing entry above a directory? If so, then this path
> $ echo $PATH
> /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
> $

does not contain an entry for svn. You need to add /usr/local/bin/svn to 
that path.
