Floppy drive not responding.

The "auto" there means that the kernel automatically detects the type
of file system when you mount a floppy.
A couple of important questions:
1. Is it a USB or a traditional internal floppy drive with a ribbon cable?
2. If it's an old style floppy drive, is it enabled in the BIOS?
