I'm trying to run applications and display on a remote X11 server. (Xmng on
windows). The display isn't right. For example, font sizes are too small. I
think the problem is tied in with the following error:

C:\Documents and Settings\esj\Desktop>set PATH="c:\Program Files\PuTTY\";C:\WIND
OWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem

C:\Documents and Settings\esj\Desktop>plink -X esj at 172.16.6.1 pidgin
GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are
that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks
due to a system crash. See http://www.gnome.org/projects/gconf/ for information.
(Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Failed to execute
dbus-launch to autolaunch D-Bus session)

I can't find where I need to enable TCP/IP networking on orbit. I've checked for
stale NFS locks even though I'm not running NFS between the two machines. I'm
hoping that someone can educate me a little bit more about orbit so I can solve
the problem and move onto the next one.
