Gmail notification -- anyone use gbuffy?

I have been using "gbuffy" <http://www.fiction.net/blong/programs/gbuffy/>
to monitor my imap mailboxes.  I'm not trying to use it with Gmail, but
although it will log into gmail it
never seems to display any message count.  I'm wondering if I'm not
specifying the "path" to the imap folders (labels in gmail speak) correctly.

I'm also trying out the gmail-notify application, but I like the gbuffy
interface with the counts of new messages.  I know when to panic when my
work email all of the sudden shows 40 messages....
