Two Firewalls Installed

Hello,
I have used Firestarter as my firewall ever since using Ubuntu .When UFW 
firewall came on the scene this is installed as standard when you 
install Ubuntu, this I can under stand.
When you install Firestarter it does not remove UFW, is this correct 
that you should have 2 firewalls installed at the same time or should 
UFW be removed, in no why not??
