laptop + external monitor

Hi,

Did you find issue for activating either embedded monitor or your external ?
Like you I have an external monitor with a better resolution but Ubuntu 
seems not consider it and skip the same resolution than the embedded 
screen (1024x768)
However, Windows is OK to activate it with 1280x1024 / 16 bits so hard 
isn't the pb.
