But if it's a Solaris kernel, then it's a solaris distro (are you 
thinking of OpenSolaris?)
Linux IS the kernel that we use, underlying a gnu system.
perhaps you mean there is a gnu/solaris distro?
That would still be, to my knowledge, OpenSolaris.
