Well...
you can probably start fluxbox with

startfluxbox
or you might have to do
startx

Then again...do you have Xorg installed?
I think, if you didn't, aptitude would have pulled that in with 
fluxbox..yeah.

You might want to install any of the following, as well.
xdm
gdm
kdm
I should have thought of that.  sorry.
These will give you a graphical login screen for logging into X and fluxbox.

Here I have gdm and ion3.
Fluxbox is prett co0l, though.
I like how easy it is to make your own keybindings by editing 
~/.fluxbox/keys
I used it for about a year after ditching kde, then switched to openbox 
for about 6 months, and have recently made the move to ion3.
I just keep getting lighter/less gui-er, tired of bloat and spinning 
eye-candy.
