Well, that's the KDE path (sorry I didn't mention K-menu), I don't 
think you can configure it with Gnome. Whether you have Kubuntu or 
Ubuntu installed doesn't matter but you should start KDE from the login 
manager to change the setting. It should then be double click even if 
you start konqueror from Gnome.
