DKMS is also working fine with a custom kernel that I've build for
my laptop (2.6.29 series).
And I have used virtualbos-ose(you see the right typo ;-)) and later
virtualbox from sun with the generic ubuntu kernel also with the
custom kernel. No problems at all.
