IA32 can address 4 GB of RAM. I run 64bit on a T61 with few problems.
I am running the Adobe Beta Flash plugin for 64 bit Linux and it seems
to run fine with few problems. I am using 64 bit simply because I
wanted to see how it works. I do nothing that needs more than 32 bit
support. The Flash Player was going to be a deal killer and I have had
problems with running the Adobe supported 32 bit plugin. The beta 64 bit
plugin seems to be fairly stable.
