Shared VMWare images between Ubuntu and Windows Vista

I have mounted my Windows partition on my dual-boot Ubuntu
Jaunty/Vista machine.  The NTFS driver now seems fairly mature, I can
read and write files without too much trouble.

What I'm thinking of doing is keeping all my vmware images on the NTFS
side, and opening them with VMWare server while booted into Ubuntu.
Have any of you got experience with this?  Are there any risks to
storing vmware image files on an NTFS partition?
