Can't play DVD

/dev/hda could be a DVD drive. In fact on my system here at work it is. 
The reason is all the other disks are SATA disks, and thus /dev/sdaX - 
The DVD drive is the only IDE one and thus gets /dev/hda

What does the command

  > mount

give you, when you have the DVD in the drive and mounted.
