Hm, what version of nvidia driver have you installed. My is
185.18.14 - not the Ubuntu shipped one.

I don't have such undesired effects like you. Here you can watch my
xorg.conf - http://pastebin.com/m3acf01a1. Maybe it helps you. The
ASUS screen is the external.
