CD Burning not possible w/ UBUTU 9.04 too big

Ubuntu 9.04 desktop files will not fit on a 700Mb CD its about 2 mg too  big.  I assume no one has updated the installation instructions since its release, which I assume refers to earlier versions.  I used two different burn applications and each application told me there wasn't enough disc space.  Again I was using a 700 MB 80 min CD.  HELP!
